About the history of E-cigarette

The need for electronic cigarettes tends to grow each year as more smokers believe that this is the best choice for cigarettes. It is quite inventive of the people behind this product as he was able to create a difference in other people lives by imparting his knowledge to everyone. Electronic cigarette was first developed by Hon Lik in Beijing China after his father, a heavy smoker, died of lung cancer.

Electronic Cigarettes’ Historical Timeline

It was 2003 when this device was invented which was eventually developed by a company, Golden Dragon Holdings, and called it “Ruyan” meaning “like smoke”. Three years after when it was introduced in European market and a year after when it reached the US.

It was around 2008-2009 when it received various opposing reviews from organizations all over the world. Some states that electronic cigarette contains nicotine which makes it not a good substitute for cigarettes. With this, it has been demanded that electronic cigarettes have to be removed out of the market, inhibiting its appearance from the public as it devoid its purpose. The entire electronic cigarette industry was banned to circulate their products all over the world, penalties await those who are caught using and selling the products.

On the other hand, despite the various news and researches preventing everyone to use the product, TVECA (Tobacco Vapor Electronic Cigarette Association) was formed in April, 2011. This group was created is composed of different private sectors aiming to explain that e-cigarettes and traditional cigarettes similarities just end on their physical appeal. They were form to dispel inaccuracies and myths pertaining to e-cigarettes. August, 2011 when another study was published providing certain evidence proving that there are smokers who successfully stopped or cut down their cigarette consumption after using electronic cigarettes in exchange.

2011 was indeed a good year for the electronic cigarette industry as more and more individuals are coming out to support the advocacy of showing that this product helps individuals who want stop smoking. In addition, one by one US states are also removing bans against the product, excluding it from proposed smoking ordinance. The next year, various consumer groups from different countries all around the world organized the first World Vaping day. Some of the groups include IGED from Germany, ATACA from Australia and Stelda NL from Netherlands. Though, there are still unending discussions between its pros and cons, through the years e-cigarette manufacturers are trying to provide better premium product for all its consumers.
